About Paradyskloof Watch

Paradyskloof Watch is a volunteer association of residents working with SAPS, the Stellenbosch Community Police Forum, and contracted security providers to keep our suburb safe. Membership is free, open to all residents aged 18 and over, and based on the principles of non-racism, non-sexism, non-sectarianism and democracy (per clause 6.1 of our constitution).

Our area — Ward 21 — is enclosed by the R44, Blaauwklippen Road (both sides), and Paradyskloof Road (both sides), plus the surrounding farm borders. See the map below.

Executive Committee

Elected at the AGM/Special General Meeting on 24 March 2026 (per clause 3 of the constitution).

Read the full constitution for how the committee operates and how it's elected.

How we coordinate — on WhatsApp

Day-to-day safety coordination happens on a structured set of WhatsApp groups: an Announcements group, your Street Group, an Emergency Incidents channel, and a general community chat. Once your registration is approved you'll receive personalised join links and see your Primary and Backup Street Reps.

How we're governed

Paradyskloof Watch operates under a formally adopted Constitution (adopted 24 March 2026) and reports to the Community Police Sub Forum Sector 2 and through them the Stellenbosch CPF. Other governance documents — Code of Conduct, AGM minutes, financial reports — are published in the Documents section for members.

Your privacy

We collect only what we need to verify you live in the area and to contact you about neighbourhood-watch matters. Your data is stored privately in the EU region, you can edit or delete it at any time, and we share it with no third parties beyond SAPS and contracted security providers when incidents involve your household. Read the full privacy notice for the details we keep, your POPIA rights, and how to exercise them.
